Red Barrels is hiring a Dev QA!

Red Barrels is hiring an experienced Dev QA to join the Outlast Trials Team.

We are looking for an experienced candidate with a passion for creating immersive experiences and who can work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. The Dev QA will collaborate, problem solve and support the continued development of The Outlast Trials alongside the rest of the RB team.

Description of the role:

  • Support the development team by working closely with them to survey the state of the game
  • Verify various elements within the game, including operation, data content, performance, playability, and hardware/software compatibility.
  • Identify irregularities in a game, enter them in a database, and do regression testing afterward.
  • Communicate information in a clear and organized manner with the rest of the team.
  • Provide support and work collaboratively with designers, artists, programmers, and colleagues in other departments.

Role Profile:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a game tester in the video game industry
  • Formal training in video games is an asset
  • Knowledge of Jira is an asset
  • An understanding of French and English (oral and written) is an asset.
  • We need the candidate to be comfortable with horror elements and all that the genre entails (nudity, gore, “mature” visual research material).
  • You are proactive and can excel while working autonomously.
  • You are comfortable communicating and collaborating with others.
  • You are looking for an environment where you can have a wide range of responsibilities and you are interested in approaching things differently.
